Thanks for writing about the pope and his comments. I don't know exactly what he said but I think it is interesting that people get all hot & bothered when the pope makes a statement. The whole thing about the health crisises affecting various African nations, is that they will never be solved until many systemic issues are addressed. And this is sad truth that we don't want to face up to. You may give them condom, but what about the 50 other diseases they are exposed to everyday because some places are mosquito infected & lack clean water? You want to send over condoms but you keep the country unstable by your lopsided capitalistic trade patterns. Everything going on in sub Saharan Africa is a picture of the injustice rampant in our world. Until we are ready to face the results of our greed & narcissism, we are wasting time listening to Bono & Bill Gates.
